The Salon: the twenty eight women of this house
This is the whole of the circle, and it stays small on purpose. Twenty eight women, each with a page of her own, each anchored to a district she genuinely knows rather than to a list of postcodes somebody typed out for her.
Read two or three properly rather than all of them quickly. The pages are written to tell you how a woman talks, what she notices and how she would spend an evening, because those are the things that decide whether an evening is a pleasure or merely an arrangement.

One tariff, whoever you choose
No name here costs more than another and none costs less. An hour is £250 whoever you ask for, and every longer length reads the same on every page, as the tariff will confirm. The switchboard has never quoted one figure for one woman and a different figure for the next.
What differs is temperament and territory. Some keep to the squares of Belgravia and rarely leave them after dark; others cross London for a particular dining room and think nothing of it. The district under each name is where she lives and hosts most happily, not a limit on where she will go.

How to use these pages
Each page carries her own words on how an evening with her tends to go, a set of plain facts, a note on how her bookings are best arranged, and photographs taken for this house rather than lifted from anywhere.
If two names appeal and you cannot choose, write to Delphine at the switchboard and say so. She has met all of them and will tell you which of the two suits the evening you have described, rather than the one whose diary happens to be emptiest. That is the whole point of a switchboard.
